SHUNDE lies at the core of Pearl River Delta, adjacent to big cities like Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Jiangmen. It’s only 20 kms away from downtown Guangzhou, 64 sea miles from HongKong and 80 miles from Macao. Airport
5 nearby airports are nearby Shunde, with the first offsite departure lounge settled in the city of county level in China. It takes only one hour driving to Guangzhou International Airport, which connects international metropolitans like Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, Sydney, Melbourne, Manila with over 140 airlines. And the daily passenger volume exceeds 22,000 people.

Port
Shunde has sufficient and convenient water transportation network:

One passenger port with 12 shuttle ferries between Hong Kong and SHUNDE

Three cargos ports (Rongqi Port, Beijiao Port and Leliu Port) with 35 berths, and can hold ships of 3000 tons. The total handling capacity reaches 900,000 containers or 4,500,000 tons of bulk goods. SHUNDE Customs uses electronics system for management, close-circuit TV monitoring. Yard intellectual management, intellectual release system and container inspection system are also applied. These accelerate the customs daily procedures. Goods can be shipped to Hong Kong or Shenzhen port and then transshipped to all over the world.

High way
SHUNDE has a well-developed road network. National highway No.105 and No.325 run across SHUNDE. There are high quality roads connecting 10 towns in SHUNDE. SHUNDE enjoys the highest road density with 189 kilometers per every 100 square kilometers, ranking top in China. People can reach Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao within one or two hours by 4 express ways like Guangzhou-Zhuhai Express, Taiyuan-Macao Express, Guangzhou-Zhuhai city railway, Pearl 2nd Ring Express and Dongxin Express (will be put into used from 2009)

 

Railway
Railways for cargo delivery are handled through Guangzhou Railway Station at present. Guangzhou New Railway Station will be finished construction in 2008, and it’ll become the largest railways station in Asia. The location is just 20 kilometers away from downtown SHUNDE. This will bring a good opportunity to Shunde’s rapid development.
